Fleabag, da Amazon Prime, levou os principais prêmios de comédia

O dia chegou! Neste domingo (22), os fãs de séries e programas de TV finalmente conheceram os vencedores do Emmy 2019, o Oscar da televisão norte-americana.
Este ano, a série Game of Thrones se despediu da premiação após a sua oitava temporada. Concorrendo em 32 categorias, a produção da HBO já começou a cerimônia deste domingo com 10 prêmios técnicos, entregues previamente no último final de semana.
Durante a cerimônia deste domingo, a série conquistou o principal prêmio da noite, de melhor série de drama, e também de melhor ator coadjuvante em drama, pela atuação de Peter Dinklage. Na mesma categoria, só que feminina, onde tinha Gwendoline Christie, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner e Maisie Williams concorrendo, perdeu. Julia Garner, de Ozark, foi a vencedora.
A série foi derrotada ainda em categorias importantes. Melhor ator foi para Billy Porter, de Pose, e melhor atriz de drama foi para Jodie Comer, de Killing Eve. Nem a direção de Game of Thrones venceu. Na categoria, a vitória foi para Jason Bateman, por ter dirigido um episódio de Ozark.

Sem um apresentador fixo, várias estrelas se revezaram na entrega dos principais prêmios da noite. O modelo é adaptado do Oscar, que este ano também não teve um apresentador fixo. No início da transmissão, Hommer Simpson, Anthony Anderson e Bryan Craston deram o pontapé inicial na introdução da cerimônia ao vivo.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, da Amazon, saiu na frente com os prêmios de melhor ator e melhor atriz coadjuvante em série de comédia, respectivamente para Tony Shalhoub e Alex Borstein. Mas, logo, Fleabag, também da Amazon Prime, veio em seguida com os prêmios de melhor roteiro e melhor atriz de comédia para Phoebe Waller-Bridge, além de um prêmio de direção. Ao final da noite, levou ainda melhor série de comédia.

Nas categorias de minissérie, os prêmios ficaram divididos, mas Chernobyl, que liderava as indicações, venceu por roteiro, direção e também o principal prêmio, de melhor série limitada. Jharrel Jerome venceu por melhor ator e Michelle Williams a melhor atriz em minissérie, por Olhos que Condenam e Fosse/Verdon, respectivamente.
